Shakespeare's Words

by Mia Wells

Wisdom told to me through play
From Shakespeare was I taught
That all the world is but a stage
And cupid’s work is often fraught
That lover’s tales do come and go
Much like the sun and moon
That I had rather hear a crow
Than a man swear he love me true
I leant Music is the food of love
And the fault lies not in our stars
But in us who cannot rise above
Us underlings with heavy hearts
Midsomer’s night, As you like, Romeo, Caesar and King Lear
No one upon this earth could ever compare to our dear Shakespeare
